Hugh Gordon Shadduck, 75, of Clinton passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday September 5th. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes- North Chapel. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes-North Chapel. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery Clinton, Iowa. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Hugh was born June 17th, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Wayne and Mildred (Bull) Shadduck. He was united in marriage to Janice Allen on September 6th, 1958 in Clinton, Iowa
Hugh was a graduate of Lyons High School and Northwestern University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He returned to Clinton to manage Clinton Ice and Fuel Company. Additionally he spent most of his career with Hawkeye Chemical employed as a Supply and Distribution Manager and finally an Industrial Sales Manager.
Hugh was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Clinton Rotary Club. He enjoyed gardening and from an early age was interested in steam locomotives and trucks.
Hugh is survived by his wife Janice of Clinton, one son – David (Kimberly) Shadduck of Kildeer, Illinois, one grandson – Steven Shadduck of Aurora, Illinois and one granddaughter – Laura Shadduck of DeKalb, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathryn and his brother Jack
