Hildegard Shoultz, 85, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at The Alverno on December 7th, 2011. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 10th at 12:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive). Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Hildegard was born October 2nd, 1926 in Schotten, Germany, the daughter of Theodore and Sofia (Lehbeger) Wetlzer. Hildegard attended Schotten Business College in Germany for 1-1/2 years. She served as a nurse during WWII.
Hildegard was united in marriage to Jack Shoultz on September 21st, 1948 in Schotten, Germany.
Hildegard was a homemaker and a member of the Camanche Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved her family and her home.
Hildegard is survived by two daughters – Brenda (Jeff Simpson) Shoultz of Folletts, Iowa, Sofia (Jim Sawvel) Simons of McCausland, Iowa; two sons- Gene (Lynn) of Clinton, Larry (Ann) of Riverdale, Iowa; nine grandchildren Jessy Sander, Martina (Dan) Buckman, Billie (Erich) Wagenknecht, Heidi (Darron Gill) Shoultz, Shelby (Michael) Schmidt, Lukas Shoultz, Stephanie (Edward) Meyer, Nick and Caitlin Simons; fourteen great grandchildren; Special In-Laws: Wilma, Jerry, Dallas and Janet, Max and Millie, Norman and family in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother and her husband.
