Goldie Evalene Thompson, 70 , of Clinton, Iowa passed away at her home on January 22nd, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (west side of Clinton Lawn cemetery). A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27th at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Goldie was born November 28th, 1942 in Arcadia, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (King) Pruett.
For many years Goldie worked for Drug Program Management as a subcontractor with various railroads as a compliance technician. She was a member of the Free in Jesus church in Clinton.
She loved her dogs and was an avid collector of frog memorabilia.
Goldie is survived by one sister - Betty Norman of Tucson, AZ; two brothers - Bill (Mary) Pruett of MI., Elva Pruett of Circleville, OH. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Scott, her ex-husband Amos, one sister- Margaret and one brother - Jim.
