Geraldine Alberta Herch, 92, of Clinton Iowa passed away peacefully at the Alverno Health Care Facility on November 2, 2013. A grave side service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel 2610 Manufacturing Drive (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Geraldine was born August 21, 1921 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Thurman and Martha (Leudthe) Comstock. She was united in marriage to Peter Herch on September 31, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa.
Geraldine was a past member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Clinton Moose Lodge. She was a housewife and worked at General Electric, Morrison Plant, for eighteen years.
Geraldine loved going on vacations with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, bowling and loved to go dancing with her husband. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, very much and will be sadly missed by all.
Geraldine is survived by her two sons - David (Pauline) Herch of Clinton, IA., Richard Herch of Colorado; eleven grand children, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who passed away this past July, one brother- Lyle and one sister - Helen.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society directed to a cure for Melanoma.
