Obituary for Gerald Pinter

Gerald Edward Pinter, 75, of Sabula, Iowa passed away peacefully at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on May 29, 2014. At Gerald's request, cremation rites have been accorded, no services schedule, with a private burial to be held at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gerald was born July 2, 1938 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Albert and Helen (Rathman) Pinter. He was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School. Gerald was united in marriage to Mary "Carole" Kinney on November 19, 1960; they later divorced however remained good friends.
Gerald worked many years on the production line for Products Unlimited. Through his career he also worked at the Cordova Nuclear Power Plant, Carlon and Baker Distributing. Gerald enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
Gerald is survived by two daughters - Rebecca (Troy) Widner of Preston, IA., Debra Wilson of Michigan; one son- Ed Pinter of Sabula, IA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Betty Waterman of Camanche, IA and his very special friend and mother of his children Carole Pinter.
Preceding Gerald in death were his parents , one son - Dan Pinter, one daughter - Mona Gamber and one brother - Gary Pinter.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
