George L. Pierce Jr., 53, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a private celebration of his life taking place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
George was born January 24, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Mary (Miracle) Pierce. George served his Country in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1992.
He was a wonderful father and an over-the-road truck driver.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and football, especially the Tennessee Titans. He also enjoyed playing league pool. He loved his career driving trucks and was very charismatic - a true lady's man. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
George is survived by three daughters - Summer Pierce of Morrison, IL, Ashley Blakley of Clinton, IA and Sydney Pierce of Clinton, IA; three sons – Travis Pierce, Tristan Blakley and Dakota Pierce all of Clinton, IA; five grandchildren; one sister – Donna Blakley of Clinton, IA; four brothers – Denny Pierce of Dubuque, IA, Rick (Mary) Pierce of Marengo, IA, David (Gayla) Pierce of Rush Springs, OK and Coy Pierce of Clinton, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding George in death were his parents, one granddaughter, one sister and one brother.
