Obituary for Gavin Joseph Milder
Gavin Joseph Milder, 12, of Clinton Iowa passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday, July 13, 2019. A visitation will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, July 21, at Lemke Funeral Home’s - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Funeral services will occur at 11 am on Monday, July 22, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Gavin was born March 8, 2007 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Benjamin and Jennifer (Baclet) Milder. He was looking forward to getting back with his 7th grade classmates at Clinton Middle School and participating again on the student council.
Gavin loved sports, he was a member of the Clinton Junior Baseball Team and the traveling CHAOS Baseball Team, a standout on the Clinton Junior Wrestling team and Young Guns Wrestling Club in Rock Island. He also played junior football.
Gavin loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also loved his dog, Bonnie. He loved hanging out with his best friend, his sister Emma. He was fond of telling jokes, he just wanted to see people smile and make someone happy. He was always willing to help anyone; he was very hard working always giving 110%. He was a polite, happy and loving boy who loved his friends and entire family very much.
Gavin is survived by his parents - Jenny and Ben Milder of Clinton; sister Emma of Clinton, maternal grandparents Jackie (Michael) Nelson of Clinton and Joseph (Ronda) Baclet of Dixon, Il; paternal grandparents Kathie (Lawrence) Musser of Savanna, IL and Dallas Milder of Davenport, IA; maternal great-grandmother – Nancy James of Clinton, IA; with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding Gavin in death were his special great-grandfather – Harlan James and other great grandparents
