Obituary for Gary Witt
Gary John Witt, 80, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away at home on Sunday, December 25, 2022. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Gary was born January 19, 1942, in Clinton, Iowa the son of John and Ruth (Foss) Witt.
Gary was self-employed as a carpenter focusing his trade in the housing industry.
Gary was a true outdoorsman – his happy place was doing anything outdoors, but he especially loved hunting, fishing and was an avid trapper. He will be sadly missed.
Gary is survived by six children, three sisters, several nieces (with special niece Christina Foley), nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
