Obituary for Gary Kenneth "Willy" Williamson
Gary Kenneth Williamson “Willy”, 77, of Fulton, Illinois passed away at home, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, August 14, 2020. Honoring his wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Gary was born November 13, 1942 in Rock island, IL he was one of three children born to John “Jack” Williamson and Maravian (Etzel) Williamson. He married Sandra VanKampen on February 12, 1965 in Albany, Illinois.
Gary was a member of the Church of the Open Door. He owned “Williamson Home Improvement” for 35 years.
Gary was an avid sportsman with the honor of being listed in “Pope and Young” bow hunting big game record for his record Elk in 1994-1995. Gary loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren.
Gary is survived by his wife Sandra Williamson of Fulton, IL ; one son - Randy Williamson of Fulton, IL; one daughter - Shelly (Don) Enloe of Albany, IL; two grandsons - Jeremy Williamson of Somerville, TN and Jack Williamson of Rock Falls, IL; three granddaughters - Zebrianna (Kyle) Schierholz of Albany,IL, Morgan Zaehringer of Franklin, WI and Lakin Zaehringer of Albany, IL; with one great-grandson - Fox Schierholz of Albany IL and one sister - Debi Selhost of Thompson, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister - Dee Essiens and two grandsons - Blake and Logan Williamson.
