Obituary for Gary Leo Seifert

Gary Leo Seifert, 77, of Davenport, Iowa (formerly of Clinton), passed away peacefully at Genesis East Hospital, Davenport, on Saturday, July 1, 2017. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society, in Davenport, Iowa. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Gary was born November 17, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Leo and Lorraine (Baker) Seifert. Following high school, he joined the United States Navy.
Gary was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clinton, Iowa. He was a devout Catholic and always let his faith guide him.
Gary worked as a Barber and was also involved with the Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary for many years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. As a younger man, he loved playing baseball and later in life watching and following his favorite teams.
Gary is survived by his sister Gaye Holtz of Pickerington, OH; one niece, two nephews and several cousins.

Preceding Gary in death were his parents and his brother in-law – Jon.
