Obituary for Fannie Davis

Fannie Davis, 57, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, October 30, 2016. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, at the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Fannie was born February 11, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Velpo and Clarine (Pettis) Anthony. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Chicago. Fannie was united in marriage to Kenneth Davis on May 5, 2001 in Clinton, Iowa.
Fannie was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. She worked for many years as a customer service associate at Swiss Colony until she retired.
Fannie loved cooking, shopping, dancing and playing cards- overall she just enjoyed life and spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. However, Fannie's life would forever change in June 2010 as she was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a debilitating disease.
Fannie is survived by her husband Kenneth "Kenny" Davis of Clinton, IA; twelve children - Corey (Pam), Ken (Toya), Jaton, Jason, Jamall (Shunta), Kerry, Kenoshaw, Jaanee, Kenard (Taneka), Kenya, Kendall, Warren; four brothers - Mason, Melvin (Stephanie), Anthony, Willie Ervin; one sister - Patricia; with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Fannie in death were her parents and two grandchildren - Cortrial and Antwan
