Obituary for Elmer Tucker
Elmer Wilson Tucker, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away at MercyOne Medical Center on Friday, October 29, 2021. Private Funeral Services and burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Elmer was born June 26, 1956 in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, the son of Croft and Sylvia (Spears) Tucker. He was a graduate of Cave-In-Rock High School. For nineteen years Elmer shared his life with his love, his wife Jane Lund.
Elmer was a truck driver employed by Dale Bott Trucking and he was also a farmer.
Elmer enjoyed watching football especially his beloved Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed working with his hands building car models. Elmer loved to cook for his family and friends. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
Elmer is survived by his wife – Jane Lund; five children – Ben Tucker of Clinton, Katie Tucker of Clinton, Alie Coverdell of Camanche, Niki Tucker of Clinton and Jason Miller of Clinton; two step-children – Johnathon of Clinton and Jessica Lund of Clinton; two brothers – Gordon (Kathy Olson) Bebout of Benton, IL and Lewis Wayne (Brenda) Bebout of Pickneyville, IL; three sisters – Linda (Yancy) Beers of Johnston City, IL, Themla (Bobby) Jackson of Rosiclare, IL and Patricia (Jim) Wegener of Hudson, WI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Proceeding him in death are his parents and two sisters – Mary Ann Reed and Carolyn Norris.
Memorials made can be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
