Elizabeth “Liz” Marie Hamm, 54, of Fulton, Illinois passed away at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center on Monday, November 4, 2019. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service taking place at 11 am on Saturday, November 9, at the Church of the Open Door. A visitation will occur 1-hour prior from 10 am until the service hour at the Church. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Liz was born July 17, 1965 in Savanna, Illinois the daughter of Leland and Dorothy (Matthew) Haas. She was a 1983 graduate of Savanna High School.
For many years Liz worked as a CSR for Swiss Colony and recently worked part time for the City of Clinton in the Engineering Department.
Liz was a member of the Church of the Open Door, where she also participated in the women’s Bible study and the food pantry there.
Liz loved playing the Pac-Man video game. She also enjoyed decorating for the Holiday’s and enjoyed being outdoors. Liz was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. She loved her fur-baby, her cat Samantha. Above all, she loved her son and entire family very much and will be sadly missed.
Liz is survived by her son - Bryan Hamm of Fulton, Il; one sister - Barbara (Randy) Foster of Morrison, Il; two brothers – Paul Haas of Hernando, MS and Chuck (Kim) Haas of Dubuque, IA; three nephews – Brock, Brett and Brandon; with other extended family and many friends.
Preceding Liz in death were her parents and one sister in-law – Jana.
