Eleanor Marie Jones, 79, of Keokuk, Iowa passed away Friday September 9th at the Keokuk Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 14th at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Eleanor was born on June 13th, 1932 in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Clark E. and Cecil V. (Kimmer) Jones. Eleanor was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School.
Eleanor was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She loved going to movies and watching her favorite Hollywood stars (John Wayne & Elizabeth Taylor). She loved to go dancing and had a wonderful sense of humor. Most of all she loved cooking and spending time with her family.
Eleanor is survived by: 1 daughter – Debra Jones of Seattle, Washington, 1 sister- Linda (Frank) K. Ivy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 1 brother- Edward D. Jones of Clinton, Iowa, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents.
