Obituary for Edward Lee "Ed" Fall

Edward “Ed” Lee Fall, 76, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Friday, January 15, 2021. Funeral services occur at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 19, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). A visitation occurs two-hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the Funeral Home. Burial takes place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Ed was born August 28, 1944 in Tipton, Iowa, the son of Harold and Velma (Gilmore) Fall. He served his Country in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.

Ed was united in marriage to Linda Seanor on February 12, 1966 in Hale, Iowa.

Ed started his career working for electrical contractors for 20 years. He then continued his career at Mid-American Energy, as a Lineman - retiring after 30 years. He was a proud, 50 -year, member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Ed enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved fishing. He also enjoyed visiting Casino’s and following NASCAR. Often you could find Ed sitting at a table working a jig-saw puzzle. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be incredibly missed.

Ed is survived by his wife Linda of Camanche, IA; one daughter – Shelley (Keith) Foster of Janesville, WI; daughter in-law – Michelle Fall of Clinton, IA; two granddaughters – Amanda Fall (Zachary) Dixon of Kansas City, KS and Veka Hartsock of Clinton, IA; one grandson – Cameron Fall of Denver, CO; two great granddaughters – Auria Fall and Millie Brantley both of Clinton; two sisters – Becky (Alan) Cooper of Robins, IA and Tamie (Chuck) Sabin of Dubuque, IA; special friends – John and Linda Swanson of Dodgeville, WI; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff, grandson Caleb, two brothers – Stanley and Tom and one sister – Linda Moore.
