Dwight 'Wiggy' Charles Miller, 66, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Living Center South on October 30, 2014. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, at Lemke Funeral Home - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting with arrangements.
Dwight was born November, 1, 1948, the son of Holmer and Doris (Eggers) Miller. He was a 1966 graduate of DeWitt high school. Earlier in his career Dwight was a carpenter and later was in business for himself as a computer aided design drafter, providing blue prints to several contractors for prominent homes in the area.
Dwight enjoyed woodworking and drafting, he also enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars. Dwight loved animals and with the help of many nurses and friends making donations, his dream of having a Red Oak tree planted at the Eagle Point Dog Park was realized. Although he was a very private man, he was always willing to help those in need.
Dwight is survived by one nephew.
Preceding Dwight in death were his parents and his sister Gloria.
