Dorothy Mae Tholen, 87 of Rock Falls, Illinois (formerly of Camanche) passed away on April 29th at her home surrounded by her family. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 2nd, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton, IA.) A short funeral service will occur directly after the Wednesday visitation at 2:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Dorothy was born on May 30th, 1924 in Clinton, Iowa; the daughter of George and Colletta (Holdgrafer) Manning. She married Herman O. Tholen on June 15th, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa. He passed away on May 22nd, 1970.

She was employed at Clinton Garment Company until her retirement in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons: Phyllis (Russell) Steen of Camanche, Russell (Pamela) Tholen of Middleburg, Florida, Roger (Sandy) Tholen of Clinton, Iowa, Pamela (Douglas) Ryan of Webster City, Iowa, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one sister in-law, Norma Manning of DeWitt, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia, her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
