Doreen Kay (George) Linville, 67, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at her home with the loving comfort of her family by her side on December 30, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, at the Northside Church of God, Clinton. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive- just west of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Doreen was born May 4, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Curtis and Doris (Rohr) George. She went through the Clinton School system. She was untied in marriage to Dennis Linville on November 19, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa.
Doreen was a homemaker and a caretaker - caring for the elderly in her neighborhood.
She enjoyed reading and collecting lots of unique items and she loved tending to her flowers. She also loved her cat Mazie. However above all hobbies and interests she loved spending time with her family and was a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Doreen is survived by her husband Dennis; one daughter - Wendy (Bill) Greul of Morrison, IL., three sons - Curtis (Kathy) Linville of Clinton, IA., Timothy (Rebecca) Linville of Cape Coral, FL., Thomas (Michele) Linville of Clinton, IA., eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three brothers - Larry (Pat) George of Muscatine, IA., Dennis (Barb) George of Welton, IA., Norm (Janet) George of Davenport, IA. and many friends.
Preceding Doreen in death were her parents, one daughter - Shelly, two grandsons - Timmy and Brandon Harpole, one sister and one brother.
Memorials made will be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital - a favorite and special charity of Doreen and Dennis.
