Obituary for Dolores A. Eisenbeis

On September 30, 2015 Dolores A. Eisenbeis was called home to her family in Heaven. Her body may have become weak but her faith did not. Per her wishes there will be a private graveside service for the immediate family. While there will not be a visitation for you to pay your respects or a funeral dinner to celebrate her life please honor her spirit by following her example of generosity, compassion and love and paying it forward. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born January 17,1934 to William "Bill" and Clara Timmer in Preston, Iowa; the youngest of 13 children.
Early in her adult life she considered entering the Convent, however God must have realized she would impact more lives as a lay person, so in walked Eugene Eisenbeis to Sunday Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church and so their story began. She married her "Funny Valentine" on February 15, 1958 in that same church where they met. That union blessed her with three children and life later blessed her with a special woman she soon considered to be her fourth daughter.

Dolores worked for the telephone company in Clinton, McClane Office Supply and the Clinton Community School District in the Food Service Department - still working as a substitute up until a month ago.
She was a member of the Clinton Women's Club and loved working the Tuesday Teas and many other events at the Curtis Mansion. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and very active St. Vincent de Paul, helping with the funeral dinners and bake sales.
Dolores was always baking whether it was her requested gingersnap cookies for Jean Roeder's various charity runs or treating someone to her famous bread. She has touched so many people with her oven that we feel we should nominate it for a peace prize as an instrument of goodwill and love.
She is survived by her daughters Renee Fullerton, Michelle (Joe) Perino, Steffini Eisenbeis and honorary daughter Cindy (Barney) Barnhart; four grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother Rich Timmer and her beloved fur boy - Ralph Lauren, with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers and 7 sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Human Society and the George Curtis Mansion Historical Foundation.
