Together again - Dolores J. "Dee" Clark passed away on December 16, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center - North, and was greeted at the gates of heaven by her husband Oscar. Honoring Dee's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a Funeral Mass to take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dee was born December 31, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Virginia (Krava) Leslie. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Dee was united in marriage to Oscar Clark on October 25, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa - Oscar passed away just four months ago.
For many years Dee worked as a store manager at Eagle Food Stores in Clinton. She was a member of the ABWA (American Business Woman's Association).
Dee was a very hard working woman. When she wasn't working she enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dee is survived by three daughters- Cheryl (Brian) Tack of Clinton, IA., Madonna (Bill) Ashbaugh of Clinton, IA., Theresa Jones of Fulton, IL.; two sons - Timothy (Genny) Clark of Fulton, IL., John (Rose Archer) Clark of Clinton, IA.; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and her very close friend Loudell Bartlett of Clinton, Ia. and her dear close cousin Mary Lou Sparks of Bryant, IA as well as other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar, one brother and one sister.
