Dennis G. Boekeloo, 60, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center – North on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur 2 hours prior to the funeral service from 11:00 am until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Dennis was born September 5, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Howard and Ernestine (Zirbes) Boekeloo. He attended Clinton Community schools. Dennis was united in marriage to Kathlene "Kathy" Schmitz on March 12, 1992 in Clinton, Iowa.
For 20 years Dennis worked as a General Laborer for the Clinton Housing Authority.
Dennis enjoyed playing Bingo every week at the Moose and occasionally visiting the Casino. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending to his garden. He loved going to his grandson's (Jace) baseball games. Above all, he loved his family very much especially his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his wife Kathy of Clinton, IA; 1 daughter - Melissa (Fred Straw) Howard of Camanche, IA and 1 son - Jeremy Malone Sr. of Clinton, IA; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters all of Clinton, IA, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 1 son and 2 brothers.
