Obituary for Delbert Kyarsgaard
Delbert L. Kyarsgaard, 79, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at Eagle Point Nursing Home on Monday, April 10, 2023. Honoring his wishes, cremation rights have been accorded with private family services taking place at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Delbert was born November 27, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Charles and Mamie (Beck) Kyarsgaard. He was a 1962 graduate of Sabula High School.
Delbert was united in marriage to Maxine Albright on March 20, 1965 in Camanche, Iowa.
Delbert was a Union Carpenter - initially serving with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 772 in 1964 and later with Local 166 in Milan, Illinois. He would finally retire after 40+ years in 2005.
Delbert loved working in his garden. He also enjoyed socializing with friends at Sweetheart Bakery in Clinton. Early in life, he and his wife enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating and fishing. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
Delbert is survived by his wife Maxine of Camanche, IA; two sons - Bryon Kyarsgaard of Fulton, IL and Kevin Kyarsgaard of Camanche, IA; two brothers - Duane Kyarsgaard of Sabula, IA and Eldon "Butch" Kyarsgaard of Prophetstown, IL; one sister - Lola (William) Giddings of Sabula, IA; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
