David Loren Hansen, 60, of Fulton, Illinois joined his wife in heaven, with his two loving daughters by his bedside, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Morrison, Illinois on August 21st, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25th, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born May 21st, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Omer and Alice (Dodd) Hansen. He was a 1971 graduate of Clinton High School. Following high school, David continued his studies at Clinton Community College and finished his collegiate studies at Mount Saint Clare College earning a bachelor's degree in business. He worked for several companies in the area as an accountant.
On September 6th, 1986 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Jill Morris in Marshalltown, Iowa.
David enjoyed golfing, playing guitar and camping. He loved taking long walks with Jill to Lock and Dam 13 and enjoyed her passion for photography and sharing many sunrises and sunsets with her. He also enjoyed spending time with loving companion, his dog Myka. Above all he loved his family very much.
David is survived by his two daughters - Holly and Heather Hansen of Fulton, IL.; one sister- Diane (Jerry) Jorgensen of Topeka, KS.; two brothers - Darrell (Judy) Hansen from Iowa City, IA., Don Hansen from DeSoto, MO.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jill and one sister - Debbie Gaffey.
