David Allen Eggers, 41, of Camanche, Iowa died September 11, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing drive - just west of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born November 13, 1971 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Richard and Barbara (Huntley) Eggers. He was a 1990 graduate of Clinton High School and received his 4 year Electrical Engineering Technology degree from Hamilton Technical College. On August 19, 1995 David was united in marriage to Heather Sovereign in Clinton, Iowa.
David served in the Iowa National Guard for 9 years. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche, Iowa. David was employed with ALCOA as an Electrical Technician.
David loved spending time with his family and loved them very much. He also enjoyed working at ALCOA. As a matter of fact, David was instrumental in organizing and implementing the ALCOA Eagle camera which is enjoyed by thousands of internet viewers each year- for his efforts he was presented an award by ALCOA. He will be sadly missed by the many people that knew him.
David is survived his wife Heather of Clinton, IA.; three daughters - Meghan, Melanie and Marissa at home; one son - Aaron Eggers of Savanna, IL.; his mother in-law - Linda Melvin of Camanche, IA., his father and mother in-law- Mark (Jean Ann) Sovereign of MO.; two sisters- Laurie (Mike) Reafsnider of Clinton, IA., Dawn (Chad) Shafer of Vernal, UT.; two brothers - Richard (Andrea) Eggers of Clinton, IA., Brian Eggers of St. Cloud, FL. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
