Obituary for David L. Colschen

David L. Colschen
David L. Colschen, 85, of Danville, Indiana and formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 15, 2015. Cremation rites were accorded with a Memorial Service taking place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton). Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by local AMVETS Post 28. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born October 22, 1929 in Clinton, to the late Frederick and Esther Colschen. David graduated from Clinton High School before serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had a lengthy career with DuPont before retiring in 1985.
David loved golf, his dogs and was a skilled craftsman and could build just about anything from wood. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2606 and American Legion 0103 both in Punta Gorda, Fl.
He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline Colschen; sons Gregg (Sandra), Brad (Judy); grandchildren David (Candace), Michael (Lena), Christopher, and Elizabeth (Bryan); great grandchildren Austin, Hunter, Amelia, and Bryleigh.
David was preceded in death by son Scott and wife Nora.
