Obituary for David Edward Callen
David Edward Callen, 65, of Little Rock, Arkansas (formerly of Clinton), passed away at home on Sunday, January 27, 2019. A visitation will occur from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, February 1, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial will immediately follow the visitation at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
David was born May 17, 1953 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri the son of Alvin and Doris (Jewel) Callen. He was a 1971 graduate of Clinton High School. David was a veteran of the United States Navy.
David was united in marriage to Ricki Nussbaum on March 19, 1982. David’s entire career was spent working in various areas of the Insurance Industry.
David loved to go on vacation cruises with his wife and also loved watching sports.
David is survived by his wife Ricki; daughter – Tracy Mervine of Clinton; grandchildren – Shayn and Jayden Mervine and Andi Miller; brother Randy (Peggy) Quigley of Clinton; sisters – Barbara (Bruce) Lucke of Seymour, MO and Judy (Joe) Stillings of Lampe, MO; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding David in death were his father and mother – Alvin and Doris Callen-Quigley, step-father – James Quigley and brother – Mike Callen.
