Danny Brown, 43, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service and burial taking place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Danny was born September 14, 1971 in Clarksdale, Mississippi the son of Shirley Brown. He was a high school graduate of the Chicago, Illinois school system and also attended college. Danny was recently employed with Jacobs Engineering Company, working at the Clinton ADM Plant.
Danny enjoyed fishing, following his favorite NFL football team - the Miami Dolphins and enjoyed cooking, especially firing up the barbecue and cooking for his family. Although his mother played both parental roles growing up, Danny took fatherhood very seriously and became an active role model not just for his son, who he treasured, but for all the young kids in the family. However his unconditional love was always centered on his son, Kejuan, who he was very proud of and went to every activity his son participated in. He was a loving and caring son, father, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Danny is survived by his mother - Shirley Brown of Clinton, Ia., his beloved son - Kejuan Brown of Clinton, Ia.; his long-time friend and mother of his son - Stacy Kelley of Clinton, Ia.; two sisters - Gwendolyn Brown of Clinton, Ia., Sharonda Brown of East Point, Ga.; two uncles, three nieces, one nephew and many friends.
Preceding him in death were several aunts and uncles.
