Obituary for Daniel Brockett

Daniel “Dan” Scott Brockett, Sr., 59, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at MercyOne Medical Center, Clinton, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service occurs at 2 pm on Saturday, December 11, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial takes place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Dan was born November 9, 1962 in Manchester, Iowa the son of Charles, Sr. and Patricia (Clark) Brockett. Following High School, he would acquire a CNA and continued studies of the Bible and God’s Word.

Dan was united in marriage to Tammy Clark on May 26, 1985.

Dan worked various jobs including driving a truck, working with special needs children and working at the Salvation Army. He also volunteered for various organization, focusing and helping others for most of his life. He made a positive impact on many lives.

Early on, Dan answered God’s call and administered the salvation of Jesus Christ through his Pastoral works - a Minister for 30+ years. He co-founded and co-pastored at the Christian Community Fellowship Church in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Dan enjoyed video games, loved going to the movies and he loved participating in sports, especially with his children. He loved baseball and football, coaching his children from several years. Following his faith was his absolute love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be incredibly missed.

Dan is survived by his wife Tammy of Clinton, his children – Anthony Clark of OK, Daniel, Jr. Brockett. of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sarah Brockett of Clinton and Amanda (Brian) Cresap of Cherokee, IA, six grandchildren – Olivia, Isabel, Abigail, Adelynn, Emmett and Eden; siblings – Charles “Chuck”, David, Jason and Cheri; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents; one brother – Terry and one daughter in-law – Asmaa.
