Dale R. Blinkinsop, 70, of Clinton passed away July 16, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center South Campus.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Dale was born May 31, 1941 in Clinton, the son of Richard and Earlene ( Baker ) Blinkinsop.
Dale graduated from Clinton High School in 1959.
Dale married Mary Gehl on April 8, 1967 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Dale retired from DuPont where he worked in the Maintenance Department.
Dale was a member of The Moose Club, he enjoyed woodworking, building trades, and he loved to travel with his family.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Mary of 44 years , of Clinton, 1 daughter, Lynn Clark (Keith Sander) of Clinton, 2 sons, Daniel ( Cynitha ) Blinkinsop, of Long Grove, Steve Blinkinsop (Melissa Foster), of Clinton, 2 grandchildren, Kelly Mae Clark, Dean Stephen Blinkinsop, and 1 brother, Darryl ( Dolores ) Blinkinsop, of Clinton.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Dennis.
