Cynthia “Cindy” Sue Houzenga, 61, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospitals with her family at her bedside on Thursday, April 23, 2020. Private family services will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Private burial will take place at the Leon Cemetery, Prophetstown, Illinois. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Cindy was born September 7, 1958, the daughter of William Frank and Louise (Stewart) Weaks. She was united in marriage to Robert Houzenga on December 28, 1979 in Morrison, Illinois.

Cindy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a love for online shopping, working on crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and her new great-granddaughter.

Cindy is survived by her husband Robert Houzenga; three children – Amanda (George) Drake of Camanche, Tiffany Houzenga of Clinton and Damien (Jessica) Houzenga of Clinton; five grandchildren – Brianna, Michayla, Noah, Joaquin and Jaxon; one great-granddaughter – Gracelynn; mother Louise Weaks of Mount Carroll, IL; sister – Robin Weaks of Mount Carroll, IL; brother – Ron (Sharon) Weaks of Rapid City, IL with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and sister – Penny Lynn Weaks.
