Cindy L. Pierce, 59, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cindy was born February 26, 1957 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Donald and Carol (Johannsen) Shipley. She was united in marriage to Dennie Pierce on March 14, 2016.
She enjoyed watching TV, listening to country music for hours with her husband, enjoyed going out to eat and loved to socialize with friends. She loved her husband's Leader dog - Dexter and her cat – Precious. She had a golden heart, always willing to help out others, and will be greatly missed.
Cindy is survived by her husband Dennie of Clinton, IA; one son – Mike Huffman of Camanche, IA; one step son- Adam (Aubree) Pierce of Clinton, IA; one grandson – Montey at home.
Preceding Cindy in death were her parents.
