Cindy Ann Burlingame, 60, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on December 30, 2013. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of her life to take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive - just west of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cindy was born on March 19, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of James and Marion (Gertsen) Knight. She was a graduate of Clinton High School.
She worked for the Clinton Walmart store for 8+ years.
Cindy enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved following her true passion of gardening and taking care of her plants. She also enjoyed going for walks and swimming when she could. She loved her daughter very much and was one of the most kind and thoughtful people anyone would ever meet.
Cindy is survived by a daughter - Elisabeth Burlingame of Dubuque, IA.; one sister - Pam(Steve) Baker of Rock Island, IL.; two brothers - Jim (Denise) Knight of Clinton, IA., Douglas (Hilda) Knight of N.C. with many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother - Dan.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
