Obituary for Charles J. Lee

Charles J. Lee, 75, of Valrico, Florida passed away August 25, 2011, at his home in Valrico, Fla.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday September 13th at 6:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes- South Chapel. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the Memorial service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes-South Chapel. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Charles was born April 1st, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Vincent and Alice (Montgomery) Lee. He was united in marriage to Madeline Haring on August 25th, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa.
Charles was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. He was employed at Clinton Corn and as a Pipe Fitter for many years. Charles was a member of the Nativity Catholic Church, Valrico, Florida, where he was an usher.
Charles loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He was concerned about public safety and became an officer in the police reserve in Clinton, Iowa. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting and adding humor to the lives of those around him – he loved playing jokes.
Charles is survived by his wife, Madeline, of Valrico, Florida; one son – Jerry Lee of Valrico, Fla; five daughters – Cherri Martinez of Jacksonville, Fla; Brenda Strube of Valrico, Fla; Lois (Kevin) Maisel of Burke, Va; Jennifer (Mahmoud) Bradly of Tampa, Fla; Dorene Papke of Clinton, Ia; one Sister- Mary Harlock of Clinton, Ia; 10 Grand Children, 6 Great Grand Children, an extended family and numerous friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Charles Steven and two brothers- Vincent Lee and Jim Hamilton.
