Chad Miller, 38, of Teeds Grove, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24th, at 12:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton). A visitation will occur on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Chad was born February 28th, 1974 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Dale and Jan (Arey) Miller. He graduated from East Central High School in 1992. Chad was united in marriage to Kristen Schaefer on May 5th, 2007.
Chad worked as a heavy equipment operator for Brandenburg Drainage Inc. in Maquoketa, IA.
Chad loved horses, especially his horse Jake, and was an avid John Wayne fan. He enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye football and Duke basketball. He enjoyed farming and generally playing in the dirt. He was known as the Governor to his friends.
Chad is survived by his wife Kristen, his mother - Jan (Mark) Drury of Clinton, his father- Dale Miller of Miles; one sister - Amanda (Doug) Horst of Sabula; one brother - Mike of Teeds Grove, IA.; Mother in-law Meg (Mike) Sanger of Miles, IA., Grandmother Margaret Arey of DeWitt, IA., one sister in-law Megan Sanger of Charleston S.C. , one brother in-law - Justin (Kay) Schaefer of Miles, IA.; one niece and three nephews and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father in-law Charles Schaefer, Grandpa and Grandma Miller and Grandpa Arey.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, a monetary gift may be made out to the "Chad Miller Project"; a future project that will be constructed at the Bellevue Horseman's Club in honor of Chad.
