Obituary for Catherine Vilmont

Catherine Lois Vilmont, 96, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, January 4, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Church. Burial will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Catherine was born January 19, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Kustes) Anglese. She was a 1936 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Catherine was united in marriage to Floyd Vilmont on September 21, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clinton.
Catherine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and then Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a past member of the Moose in Clinton. Catherine was a homemaker whose focus was centered on raising and caring for her family.
Catherine enjoyed playing cards and fishing. She loved traveling to Texas with her husband. Above all, she loved her family very much.
Catherine is survived by two sons - Charles (Sue) Vilmont of Clinton, IA., Vern (Sandy) Vilmont of Clinton, IA.; with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and one sister - Margaret Hendricks of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters - Suzanne Theresa and Sandra; two sons - Joe and Tom; one son in-law Henry and three sisters.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
