Carol Sue Dietrick, 67, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of her life taking place at 4:00 p.m. at Ray's Timeout on Saturday, September 23. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Carol was born February 8, 1950 in Green Island, Iowa, the daughter of June Manning. She was then adopted by Carl and Florence Huebbe. Carol was united in marriage to Michael "Mike" Dietrick on August 3, 1967 in Clinton, Iowa. Carol was a loving wife and mother.
Carol enjoyed the outdoors especially camping, fishing and simply just enjoyed being around the river – a true river rat. She loved to socialize with her family and friends, especially on Facebook and Snapchat. She was a mother to so many people, even outside the family, and was affectionately referred to as "Momma D". Above all, she loved her family very much and will be sadly missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Carol is survived her mother - June of CO; her husband Mike Dietrick of Clinton, IA; one daughter Michelle "Mick" (Paul) Peska of Clinton, IA; three sons – Troy Dietrick of Clinton, IA, Mike Dietrick Jr. of Clinton, IA and Travis (Abby) Dietrick of Clinton, IA; many grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several brother and sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Carol in death were her adoptive parents – Carl and Florence Huebbe, her mother in-law – Dorothy Dietrick, one granddaughter – Mercedes and one brother – Mike Saunders.
