Obituary for Carla Edfors

Carla Denice Edfors, 49, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at Unity Point Health Center on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of her life taking place from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, December 16 at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial takes place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Carla was born March 3, 1972 in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Ronald “Ron” and Debra (Anderson) Edfors. She graduated from Lincoln Alternative High School in Clinton. Following High school she worked at Mercy Hospital, in the Dietary Department. Additionally, she enjoyed meeting people as a driver, delivering pizzas, for Happy Joes. However, early health issues and disabilities forced her into early retirement.

Carla enjoyed playing the piano and loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She also enjoyed counted cross-stitch. Above, all she loved her family very much and will be missed.

Carla is survived by her mother – Debra “Deb” Edfors of Fulton; two daughters – Samantha (Chris) Cox of Newark, Arkansas, Natalie Dalbey (Dominic Empen) of Thomsen, Il; three sons – Ronnie Jr. (Tamara) Edfors of Fulton, Anthony Ray of Clinton and Daniel (Kimberly) Edfors of Clinton; 10 grandchildren – Kaya, Hunter, Carly, Sidney, Annabelle, Franklin, Scarlette, Elijah, Malakai and Miles; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father – Ron; one son – Brian Jr. and two sisters – Laurie and Cathy.
