Obituary for Brooke L. King
Brooke L. King, 27, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center – North on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Funeral services will take place at 11 am on Monday, April 1, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur from 5 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, March 31, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Brooke was born July 5, 1991 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Lynn King. She was a 2008 graduate of Clinton High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
As an infant she was stricken with Encephalitis, which ultimately prevented her from doing many activities and functions, but those disabilities never made her less loved or the beautiful person who loved everyone.
Brooke enjoyed listening to music and watching movies, especially the Little Mermaid. She loved being around people and loved her family. Her cat “Boxer” loved her very much. This very loving girl will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Brooke is survived by her mother – Lynn (James) Omang of Clinton; 1 sister – Amberli King of Clinton; 3 brothers – Allan and Alex King and Travis Welch all of Clinton; her grandparents – Mr. and Mrs. Allan (Connie) King of Clinton; 6 uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Brooke in death were her great-grandparents and several great aunts and uncles.
