Brent L. Cromer, 49, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private memorial service will take place on Friday, March 10, at 11:30 a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Brent was born August 26, 1967 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Alvin and Sonya (Curry) Cromer Jr. He was a 1985 graduate of Clinton High School. Brent was a brick and cement mason working for many years with his father at Cromer Masonry, as well as other contractors in the area.
Brent enjoyed the company of others going about his days socializing with people throughout the community. He loved to engage in simple chit-chat in his generous, kind and often humorous way. Brent enjoyed taking his beloved dog Rascal down to Clinton high football games on Friday nights, down to the riverfront for walks and sightseeing as well as enjoying many other outdoor activities.
Brent is survived by his mother – Sonya Cromer of Clinton, IA; one sister - Alisha LeBlanc of Geneseo, IL.; two brothers - Steve (Colleen Wehrmann) Cromer of Sugar Grove, IL. and Chad Cromer of Omaha, NE.; four nieces - Meghanne, Jennifer, Emily, Kristen and one nephew TJ; several cousins and his loving pets.
Preceding Brent in death were his Dad – Alvin "Butch" Cromer Jr. and grandparents – Leo and Dorothy Curry and Alvin J."AJ" and Emma Cromer.
