Obituary for Bonnie Foley (Lawrence)
Bonnie Foley, 77, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at home, with her loving son by her side, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Bonnie was born April 11, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Floyd and Ida (Kincaid) Lawrence. She graduated from Clinton High School. Although she was accepted to the Juilliard School of Music in New York, she decided to stay home and care for her father.
Bonnie was an exceptional pianist with a God given talent for music. Although she worked for the Clinton School system, teaching at Whittier, Horace Mann and Longfellow schools; she would also teach music in her spare time to hundreds of adults and children throughout her life
Bonnie was also Miss Clinton County in 1961!
Bonnie dearly loved all of the little dogs she had throughout her life. Her dog Sadie knows mamma’s gone and is very sad. Bonnie loved her son Kurt with all of her heart – she will be incredibly missed by family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her son Kurt Alcorn of Camanche and her dog Sadie and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and one sister.
