Beverly JoAnn McArdle, 75, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 1, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service with burial at a later date at Oakland Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Beverly was born March 30, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Berniece (Gundlefinger) Snodgrass. She was united in marriage to Donald McArdle Sr. on August 22, 1964 in Savanna, Illinois.
Beverly worked, for many years, as a housekeeper for several area Hotels.
Beverly caught the "Bingo Bug" years ago and just loved playing Bingo all throughout her life. She was always willing to help someone out, putting their needs before her own. She loved all of her fur-babies she had throughout her life, especially her Chihuahua's. Above all she loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed.
Beverly is survived by her children – Jim (Chris) Schmidt of Clinton, IA; Dennis (Tina) Schmidt of Clinton, IA; Lorrie Schmidt of Clinton, IA; Paul (Lola) McArdle of Clinton, IA; Brian McArdle of Clinton, IA; one adoptive son – Doug Van Dorn Sr.; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one sister – Irene McDonnell of Davenport IA; one brother – Willie Snodgrass of Clinton, IA; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Beverly in death were her parents, her husband, 2 infant daughters, one son - Donald Jr., 1 sister and 4 brothers.
