Beverly E. Gilge, 74, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully at Pearl Valley Nursing Home (Muscatine, IA) on Friday, January 20, 2017. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation will occur from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Beverly was born on November 18, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Viola (Palmer) Mason. She was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. Beverly worked at Jane Lamb Hospital in the housekeeping department, retiring after many years.
Early in life Beverly enjoyed traveling the country. She also enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, baking and just enjoyed being at home. Above all, she loved her children very much and loved spending time with them and taking care of them – her main priority in life.
Beverly is survived by two sons – Clint (Debra) Gilge of O'Fallon, IL and Cliff (Catherine) Gilge of Rapid Valley, SD; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister – Shirley (Boyd) Kohl of Clinton, IA; one brother – Donald Mason of Clinton, IA; with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Beverly in death were her parents, one daughter – Judith and one brother – Richard.
