Obituary for Beverly Slade

Beverly Ann Slade, 82, of Davenport, Iowa (formerly of Clinton) passed away at the Kahl Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Funeral services take place at 11 am on Saturday, July 16, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). A visitation occurs one hour prior from 10 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial immediately follows at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Beverly was born September 10, 1939 in Morrison, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Ida (Bull) Stern. She was a graduate of Morrison High School.
Beverly was united in marriage to Billy Slade on September 19, 1960 – they later divorced but remained good friends.

Beverly worked as a nurse’s aide at Eagle Point Nursing Home for many years. She also volunteered at various organizations in the area.

Beverly loved to read, enjoyed walking and enjoyed the outdoors. She often took day trips to Sabula just to admire the beautiful scenery and river views. Above all, she loved her entire family very much and will be greatly missed.

Beverly is survived by one daughter – Linda Hein of Clinton, IA; four sons - Tim (Terri Fuller) Slade of South Carolina, Steven (Jan) Slade of Bettendorf, Brett Slade of Clinton and Kory (Paula) Slade of La Grange, Texas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister - Caroline Bramm of Lyndon, Illinois; one brother - Elsworth Stern of Sun City, Arizona; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Billy and grandson- Steven Charles Hein Jr.
