Betty Jane Temple-Millard, 88, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving daughters, on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites were accorded with burial taking place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at 11 am on Wednesday, April 4. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Betty was born July 27, 1929 in in Carroll County, Illinois, the daughter of George and Rose (Helfrich) Plog. She was united in marriage to John Temple in 1949, he passed away in 1985. Later, she married Jim Millard in Alabama.
Betty loved being outdoors and spending time in her garden. She also enjoyed traveling. Above all, she was a dedicated mother who loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband Jim Millard of Al; three daughters – Diane, Donna and Sally, with 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
