Obituary for Anthony Davis

Anthony Ray Davis, 26, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Greater True Love Baptist Church, Clinton. A visitation will occur from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Anthony was born August 17, 1988 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Victoria Houston and Winfred T. Davis. He attended Clinton High School.
Anthony was a musician and had a true passion for music.
Anthony loved participating and watching all types of sports, especially baseball; he took great pride in umpiring and grounds keeping at Honeywell fields, where he was inspired to give back to the children he watched in the same ball fields he played as a child. He also enjoyed technology and spending time on his computer. Additionally, he enjoyed reading and watching the many movies he had. However music was his true passion and he loved listening and playing his music. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his two daughters who he adored - Melody and Mia. He had many friends and will be sadly missed by his family and all those who knew him.
Anthony is survived by his mother Victoria Houston of Clinton, IA.; his father Winfred Davis of Clinton, IA., his two daughters Melody and Mia at home and his life partner Stephanie Koranda of Clinton, IA. Additionally on his maternal side, he is survived by two sisters - Malaika (Lavell Wash Sr.) Houston of Clinton, IA., Rijeh Garnett of Clinton, IA.; one brother - Regis Garnett of Eugene OR.; one niece - Mariya Davis at home; one nephew - Mahki Davis at home; on his maternal side - grandmother - Mary Terronez of Rock Falls, IL., two uncles - Joe (Debbie) Terronez of Moline, IL., Victor (Chris) Terronez of Sterling, IL.; one his paternal side - one aunt - Carol (Dr. Arthur) Mardis of Keokuk, IA.; five uncles - Wallace Davis of Clinton, IA., Gary (Teresa) Davis of Camanche, IA., Michael Davis of Clinton, IA., Charles Davis of Aurora, IL., Bobby Davis of Davenport, IA.
Preceding Anthony in death were his brother Winfred Davis, on his maternal side - his grandfather Manuel Terronez, two uncles - Tom & Jerry Terronez and one aunt Susan Terronez; on his paternal side - grandparents Reubena and Wallace Davis Sr., one uncle - Joseph Davis.
