Obituary for Amanda Wynne Peters (Izer)
Amanda Wynne (Izer) Peters, 53, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at MercyOne Hospital on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Funeral services occur at 11 am on Friday, February 28, at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A visitation occurs from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, February 27, at the Funeral Home. Burial takes place at the National Cemetery in Rock Island. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Amanda was born on July 15, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Ron and Judy (Brooks) Izer. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, as well as, a attending Clinton Community College.
Amanda was united in marriage to David Lee Peters on July 17, 2009 in Clinton, Iowa.
Amanda was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a past member of the Clinton Nee-Hi’s. She worked at Allied Business, Inc. as an Account Associate for over 10 years, retiring in 2009.
Amanda loved swimming, especially in the ocean. She also loved to travel with her husband and loved watching “Wheel of Fortune”. She enjoyed socializing and entertaining family and friends. Above all, she loved her family very much.
Amanda is survived by her husband David of Clinton; her children - Amber Peters and Michael Wright both of Clinton; step-daughter Lotrice Peters of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren – Javhari, Dhaimand and Malia; her father – Ron Izer of Clinton; two sisters – Melissa (Ty) Otto and Mary Ann Whitney both of Clinton; one brother Cory Izer of DeWitt; her mother in-law Gladys Peters of Memphis, TN; bother in-law – Clarence Calhoun; sister in-laws - Marilyn Walker and Sandra Peters all of Memphis and other extended family; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and other family members.
