Allan Dean Rickertsen, 69, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center - North on Monday, June 17th, 2013. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). Burial will take place immediately after the visitation at Rossiter Cemetery, Charlotte, Iowa. Lemke funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Allan was born January 23rd, 1944 in Charlotte, Iowa the son of Bernhardt and Bertha (Schaefer) Rickertsen. He was a graduate of Northeast High School.
He enjoyed utilizing his skill as a carpenter and built many fine homes. He also enjoyed fishing and making window decorations using stained glass. He had a golden voice and enjoyed singing Karaoke. He also liked to shoot pool when he had time and enjoyed a game of cards with his friends.
Allan is survived by his three children - Drake Rickertsen of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ryan Rickertsen of Texas and Heather Rickertsen of Ames, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother DaVarro.
