Obituary for Aaron Alan McQuistion

Aaron Alan McQuistion, 45, of Fulton, Illinois, passed away at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, February 6, 2023. Funeral Services take place at 1 pm on Saturday, February 11 at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A visitation occurs 2 hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the Funeral Home. Following services, cremation rites will be accorded with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Aaron was born January 28, 1978 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Nicholas and Paula (Storm) McQuistion. He was a graduate of Fulton High School where he excelled at football and wrestling.

Aaron was united in marriage to Dawn Harris on April 5, 2001 in Morrison, Illinois.

Aaron was an avid Carolina Panthers fan and Iowa Hawkeyes fan – traveling to Iowa City to watch many Hawkeye football games with family and friends. Aaron was a true family man who enjoyed his children very much, whether it was playing sports with them or his best times spent camping with them - he loved his wife and kids and his dog Leo more than anything. He also enjoyed taking trips with his wife and family whether it was the annual family trip to Wisconsin or travelling to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic or Las Vegas with his wife. He enjoyed cars and the solitude of spending time at an aquarium. Above all, he loved his wife and family very much and will be incredibly missed.

Aaron is survived by his wife Dawn of Fulton; three children - Kristina (Taylor Tubbs) McQuistion, Emma McQuistion and Connor McQuistion all of Fulton; Parents – Nicholas and Traci McQuistion of Fulton; three brothers - Michael (Karen) McQuistion of Camanche, Joseph McQuistion of Fulton, Patrick (Brittney) McQuistion of Clinton; sister in-laws - Marla McQuistion of Clinton, Nicole (Kevin) Tessendorf of Sterling, Ashley (Brent) Tomman of Albany, IL and Amber (Tim) Erickson of Prophets Town and Erica Wiersema of Thompsen, Il; with many nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother – Kenneth.
